Costs of the data provision
To cover the costs of the provision of data and bio samples, the KORA directorate defines a cost scale.
NGFN - projects are fully or partly freed from this cost sharing, if a direct donation to KORA-gen has
been made through a NGFN research project that covers the accordant costs. Since time and effort vary
immensely from project to project, the costs are assessed after a thorough counselling interview.

Within the framework of KORA, a comprehensive biological sample
repository for population based studies was set up.
The SNP-genotyping from KORA DNA samples was carried out by Genome Analysis
Center (GAC) in Helmholtz Zentrum München.
KORA-gen, in collaboration with GEM Munich of NGFN, offer consultancy services
in statistical questions.
Access to data and bio samples from KORA-gen is granted based on general regulations.
